Virac Airport is a small domestic airport serving the island province of Catanduanes, the Philippines.
A redevelopment project is underway to improve the terminal and runway needed as passengers numbers are growing quickly. Still, the airport now only handels around 30.000 passengers a year from the one airplane that lands and departs here: a daily Cebu Pacific flight to Manila.
Virac Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Virac Airport, most of these are operated by Cebu Pacific Air. Many people take a flight to Manila and transfer to another flight there.
Virac Airport is located inside the city and only about 2 kilometer from downtown Virac, the Catanduanes provincial capital.
If you not carry much luggage you can decide to walk to the city center, a nice 15 minute walk along the city streets. Alternatively, if you do have lots of luggage (or are just lazy) jeepneys and tricycles are available to get you to your destination.
