Sultan Babullah Airport is an airport in Ternate, Maluku, Indonesia (TTE). The airport was named after Babullah, who was the Sultan of Ternate who fought against the Portuguese in 1570s.
The terminal of Ternate Airport is small, but it has a bank, ATM, restaurants, bars, a VIP Lounge, a few duty-free shops and a convenience store.
Sultan Babullah Airport is located about 8 km north of Ternate city center.
An ojek (motorcycle taxi) will cost about Rp 20,000, you can find them just outside the gate. Alternatively walk 10 minutes to the university from where very frequent bemos cost only Rp 2.000 to the bemo terminal.

Sultan Babullah Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Sultan Babullah Airport, most of these are operated by Batik Air. Many people take a flight to Jakarta and transfer to another flight there.
